Yin Yoga with Adrianne
Every Other Monday at 6 am CT
Ease into your day with a slow, relaxing practice of long-held poses (3-5 minutes) sitting and lying down. The practice of yin yoga incorporates mindful breath and awareness to calm the body and the mind. The use of props is encouraged to accommodate different body types and abilities. They will support you in holding the poses for longer periods of time. Increasing flexibility, decreasing stress, improving attention, and better emotion regulation are some of the benefits of this mindful yin yoga class.

About the Teacher:
Adrianne discovered Sivananda Yoga in 1996 at St. Mark's Yoga Center, intuitively knowing it would help her heal following a 4-story fall. During her weekly classes, she increasingly looked forward to being transported to a magical place while lying on her back with her eyes closed to finish out the practice. Adrianne rediscovered Yoga in 2021 after her WWII veteran father's passing. Veterans Yoga Project's trauma-informed yoga classes facilitated by heart-led teachers provided a safe space that nurtured her grieving process and inspired her to obtain Yoga teacher certification from My Vinyasa Practice. During this process, Adrianne learned that Yoga Nidra was the transport to that magical place she discovered in 1996.
Adrianne earned her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification, Trauma Informed Yoga Certification and continuing education credits in Yoga Therapy for Grief and Yoga Therapy for Depression in December 2002. In 2023 she earned her Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Subtle Bodies Certifications and Mindful Resistance Trauma Recovery Yoga with Veterans Yoga Project. She is a member of the Black Yoga Teachers Alliance, Kroppsterapeuterna, Veterans Yoga Project Teachers Alliance, and Yoga Alliance. You can learn more about her training, philosophy, and yoga life on Always Home Yoga.
